Pearls of Wisdom
In the first
waaz mubarak of the year 1447H, Syedna Mufaddal SaifuddinTUS
unveiled the topic for this year’s Ashara Mubarakah i.e. THE SPIRITUAL
INFLUENCE OF THE STARS (ZODIACS) ON CREATION. This topic gains significance as
this year marks the centenary of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin’sRA
misaaq, which is considered a mumin’s spiritual birth. Thus, the topic will
transcend the physical and the spiritual confines of human existence and
provide profound understanding of the physical as well as the spiritual being.
The first waaz
started with the identification of Falak e Muheet, the Surrounding Orbit, and
its significance and influence on the universe. MaulaTUS explained
that Falak e Muheet and all the orbits below it are like the layers of an
onion. Falak e Muheet and its continuous and tireless movement is the force
that drives the entire universe. Falak e Muheet itself moves, with immense
accuracy and speed, to make the orbits below it move with it. Just as Dai al
ZamanTUS is the force that drives mumineen towards adherence to
faith and righteousness. The Duat MutlaqeenRA themselves set an
example of how an ideal mumin should conduct himself. This guides mumineen in
particular and humanity at large towards a moral and harmonious existence.
MaulaTUS
highlighted this by narrating how, when he visits any town or village, people
from all faiths and all walks of life throng towards him and try to gain
barakat. MaulaTUS explained that this is because mumineen, following
the example of their MaulaTUS, assimilate into society with such
harmony and integrity that people are drawn towards them and their MaulaTUS.
So, just as
Falak e Muheet diligently works to drive the universe, the Duat tirelessly
strive to guide mumineen with love, affection and kindness. But, as MaulaTUS
pointed out, the Falak e Muheet doesn’t feel pain, but the Duat are in human
form thus they are prone to pain, exhaustion and fatigue. Yet, the Duat tirelessly
work towards the physical, spiritual, economic and educational welfare of the mumineen
and they do so always with a warm smile and a large heart.
This is the mark
of a true leader. One who is always kind towards his followers and always works
for their benefit.
Syedna Dawood
bin Qutubshah BurhanuddinRA displayed the virtues of this mercy
during the fitnat of Sulaiman. When Emperor Akbar insisted on Syedna DawoodRA
personally attending his court, Syedna immediately accepted in order to save mumineen
from harm. Thus, he embarked to Lahore even though it was personally dangerous
for Syedna to reveal his location and the journey from Ahmedabad to Lahore was
extremely perilous.
These are the
virtues of the Duat and the example they have set for mumineen as followers as
well as leaders.
MaulaTUS
highlighted the different positions of society that play a leadership role in
their own ways. For example, a parent, a CEO, a leading businessman, a
successful teacher etc. they all influence those who look up to them and thus
are leaders in their own capacity. And the most effective way to lead is by
example. As MaulaTUS stated: Actions speak louder than words.
So, we as
followers of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin should strive, as much as we can, to
elevate ourselves to his lofty standards. By doing so we will reach greater
heights of success, achievement and satisfaction and become leaders for others.
During these
days of Ashara Mubarakah, as we remember Imam HusainAS, who endured
heart wrenching atrocities and unbearable grief for the salvation of mumineen.
Let us resolve to follow the example of Imam HusainAS and Dai al
HusainTUS in every aspect of our life. Let us strive to be true
followers of Imam HusainAS in words and in actions. And exemplars in
the noh and aweel and matam of Imam HusainAS. That is what the Dai
al Husain Syedna Mufaddal SaifuddinTUS has always guided mumineen to
achieve as followers as well as leaders.
